What happens if a Bartholdi's Abscess is left untreated?

Whoops! <blush> women's problems...

Good resource here though - it says such an operation is a common treatment because a Bartholin's cyst in reverse abscess. But they can prescribe antibiotics (I unclear size is a point here).
